Edward Montoya, DMD
Dentist

Dr. Edward Montoya graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston in 2007.  He served 5 years in the United States Army where he obtained advanced training in complex restorative dentistry.  

Having had the honor of serving stateside, as well as overseas in Afghanistan, Dr. Montoya has a special place in his heart for active duty soldiers and veterans of the military. 

Dr. Montoya utilizes a blend of artistry and technology to help patients achieve their healthiest and most beautiful smile. His expertise ranges from routine check ups to cosmetic porcelain veneers, dental implants, crowns and bridges. 

When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Montoya enjoys playing tennis and restoring classic cars. Most of all, he values spending time with his wife and his kids, Matthew and Michelle. 

Jennifer Kang, DMD
Dentist

Dr. Jennifer Kang graduated in 2008 from Tufts University with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine.  As a general dentist, Dr. Jenn believes in catering to each patient’s unique individual needs to provide a wonderful dental experience. 

Children hold a special place in Dr. Jenn’s heart. She believes in dental care that is approached with enthusiasm, positive reinforcement and success. She and her team strives to make each child feel welcomed, individual and successful. 

Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family discovering the beauty of the Central Coast. Her husband and kids, Matt and Michelle, always keeps her happy and busy.

Michelle
Registered Dental Assistant 

Michelle has worked in the dental field for 30 years. After graduating from Atascadero High school she attended Cuesta College. During this time she was given an opportunity to work in a dental office and she discovered her passion for dentistry. 

Being a dental assistant has been a fulfilling and evolving career for her, with many exciting changes in the field of modern dentistry. She truly enjoys caring for patients, helping to make their experience positive and pain free. Her daughters, Madison and Maison, and her husband, Steve, are the light of her life. They enjoy family dinners, watching the Dodgers and hiking around the Central Coast. 

Rachel
Registered Dental Assistant

Rachel was born and raised here on the Central Coast and has been and RDA for 25 years. She transitioned to general dentistry after 15 years in the field of pediatric dentistry. What Rachel likes most about her job is the variety. Every patient and procedure is unique, which means there is still never a dull moment. She also loves being part of a team that goes above and beyond in make sure each patient has the highest quality of dentistry and overall care!

“Getting to know our patients as individuals so that we can tailor each visit to them, and then getting to watch them leave with a better smile and the best possible dental experience, is the reason I love coming to work everyday!” 
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys traveling the world, and spending time with her husband, two teenage children and their 2 French Bulldogs.

Lorie
Registered Dental Assistant

As an RDA, Lorie finds her work in the dental field very rewarding. Patient care in dentistry is enjoyable and something she has been wanting to be a part of since high school. Her favorite part of providing patient care is the ability to bond with and create a family-like relationship with patients.
“I enjoy working in an office that treats every patient with kindness and appreciation. A few of my favorite things include: George Straight radio, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, and going to the beach. When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my husband, daughter, and Sir Charles, my Shihtzu.”

Brittany
Registered Dental Assistant

Brittany was born and raised in Paso Robles, where she first began her career in the dental field in 2009. What she most enjoys about dentistry is helping patients achieve a healthy smile that they can be proud of. Brittany's heard work and dedication to each patient makes her a wonderful asset to the MDF team! When Brittany is not at work, you can find her on the lake or camping in the desert with her husband, Austin, and their 2 adorable labradors, Cali and Remi.

Michelle C.
Patient Reception and Insurance Coordinator

Michelle has been in the dental field for 31.5 years. She grew up in the Central Coast, married her high school sweetheart and has 3 beautiful girls. Her favorite part of her job is helping patients maximize their insurance benefits, and helping them have a healthy smile.

“I've been a part of Montoya Family Dental since 2020, and feel honored to be part of the team. It's like family. My hobbies outside of work are camping, wine tasting, and spending time with my friends and family.”
